Claims Expert - Structured Credit (m/f)

We are looking for a Claims Expert for Primary Credit & Surety, Bank Trade & Infrastructure and Political Risk Insurance Claims.

The new colleague assumes claims responsibility for the primary Credit & Surety (C&S), Bank Trade & Infrastructure (BTI), and Political Risk Insurance (PRI)claims. Therefore we are looking for an individual who has proven track record as an experienced claims adjudicator in primary insurance.

The opportunity

• Support C&S, BTI and PRI Insurance growth initiatives
• Provide technical expertise and knowledge sharing with respect to C&S, BTI and PRI claims network
• Effectively manage from first advice to settlement a portfolio of C&S, BTI and PRI claims
• Negotiate and defend where necessary our client’s Corporate Solution's position
• Determine when additional support is required & manage internal and external service providers and experts
• Manage key internal and external stakeholder and customer relationships, including key brokers
• Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure proper claims administration and data quality throughout portfolios
• Liaise with all disciplines e.g. Actuarial, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management in respect of claims payments and reserving as necessary
• Promote claims feedback loops and regular interaction between functions
• Ensure compliance with internal reporting of large losses, including Group reporting as required
• Ensure compliance with C&L guidelines and controls, including adherence to Group guidelines.

About you

• Significant knowledge of Insurance industry markets, preferably including C&S, BTI and PRI markets, or banking industry/workout
• Proven track record as an experienced claims adjudicator (preferred background in C&S, BTI and PRI claims, but will consider banking or reinsurance background), with exposure to handling complex claims
• Solid understanding of reinsurance and insurance contracts and wordings
• Bachelor degree or equivalent
• Analytical, negotiation and influencing skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in English (other languages are a plus)
• Team player
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and ability to work under time pressure with multiple priorities
